Norley Café Racer 1

I Guess I’ve you’ve seen the Cafe Racer TV series, you have seen this Norley Cafe Racer by Santiago Chopper

It is a very special bike with an even more special cause! Santiago Chopper donated the Norley to the Curing Kids’ Cancer charity, and it went under the hammer at a Mecum Auction in May. The price? A cool $50,000.

A Norley is a cross between a Norton and a Harley. In this case, we’re looking at a 1200cc Sportster motor shoehorned into a Norton-style frame. This cafe racer was built for charity, and it’s more interesting than most machines of that ilk. It was created by Alain Bernard of Santiago Chopper in Florida, using a 4130 chromoly frame from JW Motorcycles in Wales. There are some pretty high quality components throughout, including a Ducati Sport 1000 front end, Keihin CR carburetion, a Dyna ignition and coil, and a SuperTrapp exhaust system. The controls are from Storz and Beringer, and the gas tank and under-seat oil tank are both handcrafted in aluminum.
